"Knowing Your Air" means getting familiar with the resources that help you stay aware of the air quality in your region. CAPCOG has both particulate matter (PM) and ozone monitors in Central Texas and there are many PurpleAir sensors set up as well.
You can also check your local Air Quality Index (AQI) and stay up to date with weather alerts through several free resources!

AirNow is your one-stop source for air quality data, highlighting air quality in your local area first, while still providing air quality information at state, national, and world views. AirNow’s interactive map even lets you zoom out to get the big picture or drill down to see data for a single air quality monitor.

Warn Central Texas
CAPCOG provides emergency alerts for natural and man-made disasters (including those that can impact air quality) in Central Texas through Warn Central Texas, a Regional Notification System (RNS). The tool allows governments to send text messages, phone calls, or emails to those in the system.
